Today was standard. Nothing extraordinary happened at all. I spent first
hour preparing for my Algebra I and II lectures. Second hour, I gave
the class an extra 15 minutes to finish their chapter tests. The extra
fifteen minutes probably did some good as the class average was around
a 'B'. I then lectured on inequalities. This was material that they
have covered before (in Algebra I) so I didn't have any overt confusion.
Fourth hour (Algebra I) was on Evaluating Algebraic Expressions. They
have been informally doing this already. I just put a name on it and
formalized the process. I went over the classroom exercises in class and
there seemed to be a fairly high level of comprehension. There was a little
confusion over negative vs positive numbers... no suprise there.
